Get your vocal ensemble enthusiastic, engaged and ready for any performance.

 

Energising your vocal ensemble doesn’t need to be a challenge. This rehearsal-style workshop is a great way to up-skill choral groups and their conductors to connect with repertoire, and each other, naturally; creating authentic and entertaining performance pieces.

This jam-packed session encourages students to take ownership of their rehearsals and in turn, their ensemble.

Stacks of activities and planning tools are included, plus simple repertoire selections to discover and unpack as a team.

A follow up is provided to check-in on your ensembles progress.

 

To prepare for this workshop, the vocal ensemble is required to have one piece ready to explore and develop.

Drew's work in musical and vocal direction is extensive. His vocal ensembles in schools have been recognised by eistedfodds and competitions, while also serving important roles within healthy school music programs.

Ensembles have included mass choirs, stage choirs, barbershop groups, quintets and boybands. He has also been Director and/or Musical Director on over fifty school musicals, recieving nominations from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria.

Drew has been a sessional vocal director for recordings and commercial events, and served as the Musical Director of Melbourne Gay & Lesbian Chorus from 2015 - 2021, leading to an association and membership with ANCA. He remains one of Melbourne's most popular voice teachers for teens and young adults, aiding student excellence in VCE Music and AMEB exams.
