DRAMA WORKSHOP
"YES, AND..."
THE BASICS OF IMPROV
with Jess Pratt
The perfect session to get students thinking and creating in real time with comedy specialist, and two-time UAE Comedy Award winner, Jess Pratt.
Exploring the fundamentals of improvisation and how it works, students discover exercises which lay the foundations for group improvisation. Students learn how to build on their existing skills of how to improvise in order to create short but purposeful scenes together.
Specialising in ensemble work, Jess equips students (and teachers) with fresh approaches to improvisation:
> HOW TO START
> COLLABORATION ESSENTIALS
> CONFIDENCE & REASSURANCE
> RESILIENCE THROUGH RISK TAKING
> TRUSTING YOUR TEAM
> CONTINUITY
> HOW TO ACKNOWLEDGE NEW SKILLS
This is a great option for acquiring new Theatresport-style games, building a collection of warm up exercises or even creating more meaningful scene work.
Jess can work with students in small groups or large classes, and present in workshop settings upon request.
